November Review: Android 10 and Revamped Downloads

Security Patch, new downloads site, and much more!

Say Hello to stable Pixel Experience 10!

We’ve been working hard since September to port all the features of Pixel to this iteration of Android. It has now reached stability and feature parity with our Android Pie release. We will be gearing up with the stable release in a few weeks.

Initially, the rollout will begin only for devices which are ready, and the rest of the devices will be added on as and when they are ready.

Changes on Pixel Experience 10:

– Source Rebased and Cleaned up
– Pixel 4 goodies (Styles, Launcher, Wallpapers, Live wallpapers, Recorder and many more)
– Updated Pixel Launcher with swipe down gesture support
– Added Recorder
– November Security Patch merged

Changes on Pixel Experience 9 (Normal and plus variant):
– November Security Patch merged

Lets see whats with the downloads site, you didn’t see any UI/UX change, did you?
Our Infrastructure took a revamp, and the downloads site has been completely rewritten by our beloved jhenrique09, in laravel, and now you can see if you maintainer is working on your device by going to CI and figuring out if their device was built recently.

Official builds are signed with our own private keys.

How to flash Pixel Experience 10 from 9?

  1. (Optional) Make a backup of your important data
  2. Download the build from downloads page. OTA won’t work.
  3. (Optional) Download Magisk 20.1
  4. Make sure your recovery and firmware are up to date
  5. Wipe as usual as you would for a clean flash.
System/Data/Cache or whatever is applicable for your device
  6. Now flash PE and magisk(optional) and boot.
  7. Wait for around 10mins, as its the 1st boot, it would take a while.
